New Delhi, Jan 22 (NationPress) Avadh Ojha, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate for Patparganj in Delhi, has launched a fierce critique against the BJP, labeling them as "fake followers of Lord Ram" and questioning their grasp of Lord Ram's teachings.
"If they (BJP) can articulate even ten principles or teachings from Lord Ram’s life, I might consider believing them. The reality is that they are merely pretenders and worshippers of Lord Ram. We are the genuine followers," Ojha asserted.
He underscored the importance of adhering to Lord Ram's values, stating, "Anyone aspiring to achieve success in life must follow the path guided by Lord Ram. He serves as a role model for all living beings. Lord Ram enlightens us that everyone encounters challenges and hurdles in life. He is a figure for all, transcending individual or group identity."
Ojha's comments arise amidst a growing political rivalry between AAP and BJP regarding former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's recent mention of the Ramayan. At an election rally, Kejriwal referred to the tale of the golden deer, commenting, "Raavan disguised himself as a golden deer to plot and abduct Sita." The BJP has accused Kejriwal of twisting the Hindu epic for political advantage and disrespecting the Ramayan.
He also lauded Arvind Kejriwal and the AAP government's accomplishments in Delhi, remarking: "The people of Delhi are immensely satisfied with Arvind Kejriwal as he has fulfilled his promises. If anyone is trying to mimic his governance style, what can we say? The opposition controls 20 states; they could also implement these reforms there."
Moreover, he added, "Arvind Kejriwal has consistently honored Purvanchal and every community in Delhi. AAP has become a valuable asset for the citizens of Delhi. Mohalla Clinics, government schools, and subsidized electricity and water bills are treasures for the people. No one wishes to forfeit their treasures."
Expressing hope for the forthcoming Delhi elections, Ojha stated, "I am receiving tremendous affection from the people of Patparganj. I am confident that I will gain their trust and triumph in the upcoming elections."
The Assembly elections in Delhi are scheduled for February 5, with votes to be counted on February 8.
