Washington, Jan 16 (NationPress) The exiled crown prince of Iran, Reza Pahlavi, called upon the global community on Friday to take immediate action against the ruling regime in Iran, stating that the Islamic Republic is on the brink of collapse and that failure to intervene will only exacerbate the humanitarian crisis. “The truth is now undeniable. The so-called Islamic Republic does not represent the government of Iran; it acts as a hostile occupier that has seized our homeland,” Pahlavi declared during a press conference in Washington. He characterized the ongoing struggle in Iran as “not a conflict between reform and revolution, but a battle for liberation against occupation.”

Pahlavi accused the regime of perpetrating widespread violence against innocent civilians. “Iranians are being slaughtered in their streets and homes by a regime devoid of compassion,” he asserted, claiming that “over 12,000 Iranians were killed within just 48 hours.”

He revealed that even injured protesters are hunted down. “The Khomeini regime pursues wounded protesters within hospitals and executes them coldly,” he lamented, noting that families are often compelled to pay for the bullets that end the lives of their loved ones before receiving the bodies.

Despite the intense violence, Pahlavi remarked that the regime appears to be losing its grip on power. “The Islamic Republic is nearing collapse,” he stated, emphasizing that “their desperation is evident as they lash out like a wounded animal.”

Pahlavi urged the international community to adopt six critical measures, starting with the protection of civilians. “Safeguard the Iranian people by decreasing the regime's capacity for repression, specifically targeting the leadership of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard and its command structure,” he insisted.

He also called for economic sanctions to be imposed. “Freeze their global assets and dismantle their fleet of ghost tankers,” he urged, advocating for unrestricted internet access in Iran. “Utilize Starlink and other secure communication technologies extensively across Iran,” he stated.

Pahlavi further advocated for the diplomatic isolation of Tehran. “Expel their diplomats from your countries and initiate legal actions against those guilty of crimes against humanity,” he demanded, while also calling for the immediate release of political prisoners.

He emphasized that aiding Iranians should not be seen as interference. “Supporting the Iranian people is neither an act of charity nor unwarranted interference,” he asserted, warning that global stability hinges on ending what he termed “47 years of exported terror.”

According to Pahlavi, foreign military intervention is unnecessary. “This does not call for boots on the ground,” he noted. “The boots of the Iranian people are already underground.”

The crown prince maintained that the current regime will inevitably fall, whether or not external assistance is provided. “With or without global support, the regime will collapse,” he concluded, emphasizing that prompt action could save lives. “It will fall sooner, and more lives will be spared, if the world translates its words into action.”
