New Delhi, Jan 23 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to hand over over 61,000 appointment letters to the newly appointed youth across various government sectors during the 18th Rozgar Mela this Saturday, as per a statement released by his office on Friday.
The Prime Minister will connect via video conferencing to address the 18th Rozgar Mela, which will be organized at 45 locations throughout the nation. The newly selected candidates, hailing from all regions of India, will be joining various Central ministries and departments, including the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services, and Department of Higher Education, among others, according to the statement.
In alignment with the Prime Minister’s commitment to prioritize job creation, Rozgar Mela is a significant initiative aimed at actualizing this vision. Since its launch, over 11 lakh recruitment letters have been distributed through Rozgar Melas across the nation.
The preceding 17th Rozgar Mela took place at 40 locations, where more than 51,000 appointment letters were granted to newly selected youth for jobs within the Central government in October 2025.
Job opportunities in this round were provided in the Department of Posts, Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Higher Education, and Department of Financial Services.
Moreover, positions in Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) were also available during this round, including Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL), Coal India Ltd (CIL), Gas Authority of India Ltd (GAIL), and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC).
The newly recruited individuals will also have the chance to enhance their skills through Karmayogi Prarambh, an online training module on the iGOT Karmayogi portal, offering over 3,600 e-learning courses designed for flexible learning across any device. This initiative aims to provide strong foundational training to those recently appointed.
Recognizing the vital role of youth in national development, the Prime Minister inaugurated the series of Rozgar Melas on October 22, 2022. These melas are intended to serve as a catalyst for further job creation and to provide meaningful opportunities for the youth to empower themselves and contribute to nation-building, according to an official statement.
