On this occasion, CM Siddaramaiah presented a five-page memorandum to PM Modi, which outlined several demands and requested the Union government's attention on critical state matters.

Also present were Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda and Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh.

In preparation for PM Modi's visit, security measures were significantly enhanced in Adichunchanagiri.

Over 2,000 police officers have been deployed for security, including six SP-rank officers, 10 ASPs, 15 DySPs, 40 Police Inspectors, 151 PSIs, 92 ASIs, and 1,700 Head Constables and Constables, alongside eight KSRP units, 10 DAR units, five QRT teams, and 10 ASC teams.

During his visit, PM Modi is set to inaugurate the Sri Guru Bhairavaikya Mandir at Adichunchanagiri, a notable religious site in the Nagamangala taluk of Mandya district.

Earlier, Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel, H.D. Kumaraswamy, expressed his heartfelt welcome to the Hon’ble Prime Minister, who is attending the inauguration of the Guru Bhairavaikya Mandir dedicated to the esteemed Jagadguru, His Holiness Dr Sri Sri Sri Balagangadharanatha Mahaswamiji, of Sri Kshetra Adichunchanagiri Mahasansthan Math.

Kumaraswamy further remarked, "It fills me with great joy that the respected Prime Minister is visiting my home district of Mandya for this sacred occasion. I extend a cordial welcome on behalf of the people of Mandya and the entire state."

Following his arrival, PM Modi will use an Indian Army helicopter to travel to Adichunchanagiri, landing at the helipad of Shrigiri Tapovana.

From there, he will travel by car to Adichunchanagiri Math to engage in various religious ceremonies and participate in a stage program.

Notably, PM Modi is the first Prime Minister to visit the Adichunchanagiri Mutt, where he will be honored with a 'Mysuru Peta' crafted from Mysuru and Benaras silk.

This event holds significant political importance, particularly as the Adichunchanagiri Mutt is highly esteemed by the Vokkaliga community, which has a strong presence in the southern region of Karnataka. However, Union Minister Kumaraswamy characterized the event as a non-political, inclusive gathering, expected to attract participants from various political factions and numerous devotees. Former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda and other dignitaries are also slated to attend.
