New Delhi, Jan 3 (NationPress) Defence Minister Rajnath Singh remarked on Saturday that a nation’s greatness is not solely derived from its resources, technology, or economic prowess; rather, its genuine strength is rooted in the ideals that shape its life-values and the personalities it chooses as role models.
During the unveiling ceremony of the portraits of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Bharat Ratna Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya at the Delhi Legislative Assembly, Rajnath Singh emphasized, “Ideals are not just symbols of remembrance; they serve as guiding inspirational forces.”
He added, “In the tradition of our esteemed ideals, we honor not only Ram, Krishna, Buddha, and Mahavira, but also Mahamana Malaviya Ji and the respected Atal Ji.”
The Defence Minister stated, “Atal Ji exemplified how to maintain humility in power and to prioritize the nation’s interests, even in opposition. His life illustrates that the essence of democracy lies not in differing opinions but in how we address them.”
