Islamabad, April 14 (NationPress) In a deeply disturbing incident from Pakistan, a young girl in Chenab Nagar city, located in the Punjab province, was reportedly raped by a man who deceived her with a job opportunity on social media, local reports indicate.
According to information from local sources, the girl was approached by a resident of her town via social media. The suspect, who claimed to be living abroad, allegedly stated that he required a maid to care for his mother, who resides in Chenab Nagar, as reported by Pakistan's prominent newspaper, Dawn.
The individual promised a generous salary, leading the girl to agree to meet him. He picked her up in a car, accompanied by three accomplices.
Upon arriving at a house on Sahiwal Road, the man allegedly assaulted the girl at gunpoint, while the others secured the door from the outside. Following the horrific incident, the assailants released the victim.
The police have filed a case and initiated an investigation after the girl's aunt lodged a complaint. To date, no arrests have been made.
