New Delhi, Jan 4 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented keys to flats to beneficiaries under the "Jahan Jhuggi, Wahan Makaan" initiative during a significant event held at Ramlila Maidan in Ashok Nagar, Delhi.
This program is designed to offer permanent housing (pucca house) to individuals residing in slum areas, thereby improving their lives with modern facilities.
At the event on Friday, PM Modi engaged with the beneficiaries, listening attentively to their stories and hopes. The recipients expressed profound appreciation, describing the day as a transformative experience.
Beneficiaries shared their gratitude with IANS, highlighting their joy.
Ramcharan, a resident of Rampura Golden Park, remarked, “PM Modi inquired about our feelings. We conveyed our overwhelming happiness. What he has provided for our children is a milestone we couldn’t achieve for generations. To us, he is like a god.”
Leela Bai, another recipient, mentioned, “As a mother of five, this flat has secured their future. We are incredibly thankful to Modi Ji for uplifting our lives.”
Vilas from Jailer Bagh, who spent 35 years in a slum, stated, “I never imagined owning a home. Today, my lifelong aspiration has been fulfilled.”
Sheela, also from Jailer Bagh, joyfully expressed, “Living in a clean and well-maintained residence feels miraculous. Previously, we faced hardships in unsanitary conditions, but now our children have a promising future.”
Mohammad Manzoor Shah added, “We feel fortunate. PM Modi personally handed us the keys, demonstrating his concern for us. Our lives have completely transformed.”
Amina Begum shared similar feelings, stating, “We lived in squalor, but now we have clean, spacious rooms. This has brought us immense relief and joy.”
With the goal of providing permanent housing (pucca house) to residents of Delhi currently inhabiting kuchha houses, the Delhi BJP is making people’s dreams a reality.
