AIIMS Professor of Cardiology and Head of the SET Facility, Ambuj Roy, noted that the incorporation of VR technology could transform medical education by providing healthcare workers with improved precision and confidence, thereby setting new standards in training.
From the industry perspective, MediSim VR COO and co-founder Adith Chinnaswami stated that their collaboration seeks to create a systematic approach for embedding VR in conventional medical training, underpinned by research and long-term validation.

Previously, in February, Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda announced that the number of AIIMS institutions across the nation has expanded from 6 to 23 over the last decade, signifying a substantial growth in healthcare infrastructure.
