New Delhi, Jan 23 (NationPress) The BJP has been making serious allegations against AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, claiming connections to Khalistani factions. In response, Congress leader Abhay Dubey asserted that the BJP's criticisms extend beyond Kejriwal and implicate the effectiveness of India’s Home Ministry.

In an interview with IANS on Thursday, Dubey challenged the BJP’s stance, stating, “The BJP is not merely questioning Arvind Kejriwal but also casting doubt on its own Home Minister. Where is Union Home Minister Amit Shah when such grave allegations arise? If the BJP possesses evidence, it should be disclosed and appropriate actions should ensue.”

Dubey also responded to allegations made by AAP Rajya Sabha MP, Sanjay Singh, who claimed that BJP’s Parvesh Verma was distributing cash and goods while the Model Code of Conduct is active ahead of the February 5 Assembly elections in the national capital.

Furthermore, Dubey criticized the Election Commission of India (ECI) for its silence amid repeated grievances from AAP.

“The ECI’s inaction raises significant doubts about electoral integrity. All political factions should seek clarification,” he remarked.

The Congress leader did not hesitate in further criticizing the political climate in the national capital, indicating that both AAP and BJP had committed political failings and urged collaboration for more transparent elections.

“Both the BJP and AAP are misappropriating their resources. The AAP, like the BJP, holds power in Delhi and should be accountable for any misuse of government assets,” he added.

Dubey also commented on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s expected presence at the Maha Kumbh Mela in February.

“While the Constitution guarantees the right to practice religion, we must question: What is the genuine intention behind these visits? Is it to sway voters in Delhi?” he queried.

In related news, Union Home Minister Amit Shah plans to attend the Kumbh Mela on January 27, where he will participate in a holy dip and conduct Ganga Puja.

President Murmu is set to partake in significant events in Prayagraj on February 10, while Vice President Dhankhar will visit on February 1.

Enhanced security and administrative preparations are underway to ensure the seamless visit of these leaders during the religious event.
