Women’s Involvement Essential for 'Developed India' & 'Developed Rajasthan': CM Sharma

Jaipur, March 8 (NationPress) On this year's International Women's Day, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma engaged with selected female representatives from different regions of Rajasthan, fostering a significant dialogue about their hopes, accomplishments, and expectations.

He pointed out that the vision for a ‘Developed India’ and ‘Developed Rajasthan 2047’ remains incomplete without the active involvement of women.

The Chief Minister spoke with women serving as radio jockeys, TV anchors, journalists, and social media influencers, underlining the importance of understanding society for effective leadership.

He stressed that public trust is a vital element of leadership, and the messages conveyed by women in the media resonate deeply. He urged them to harness their influence to uplift the skills of other women and motivate them to progress in life.

While addressing women linked to Rajivika self-help groups and participants of the Lakhpati Didi Yojana, the Chief Minister reiterated the state government's dedication to promoting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Lakhpati Didi initiative.

He asserted that national advancement is achievable only when women achieve self-reliance. Sharma remarked that taking the initial step is crucial in any endeavor, and the small strides made by women through self-help groups are paving the way for larger successes.

He commended women who have launched small-scale industries, noting that they not only enhance their own livelihoods but also create job opportunities for others.

With their earnings, they can support their families and ensure better educational prospects for their children. He also recognized the expanding roles of women in various sectors including Drone Didi, Pashu Sakhi, and Bank Sakhi, assuring that the state government will provide all necessary support to these initiatives.

Women from the self-help groups recounted their experiences with the Chief Minister, stating that their involvement in these groups has fostered financial independence and a newfound societal identity. They expressed gratitude for the government's initiatives and the special provisions made for Rajivika in the state budget.

Echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision, he reaffirmed the government's commitment to enacting policies and programs that safeguard women’s rights, empower their aspirations, and ensure their substantial participation across all domains.

These initiatives are ushering in a new era of prosperity for mothers and daughters throughout the state. The women present conveyed their appreciation to the Chief Minister for the state government’s dedication to women’s empowerment.

At the Chief Minister’s residence, Sharma met with women entrepreneurs, members of Rajivika self-help groups, beneficiaries of the Lakhpati Didi Yojana, radio jockeys, TV anchors, social media influencers, athletes, women involved in literature, education, and the arts, volunteers from social organizations, and female leaders excelling in politics.

He commended them for their contributions to society, bringing pride to Rajasthan, and inspiring future generations. During discussions with women public representatives and Sarpanches, the Chief Minister emphasized the natural responsibility and sensitivity women bring to governance.

He applauded women representatives for their effective implementation of government schemes at the Panchayat level and urged them to launch public awareness campaigns to ensure the benefits of both state and central initiatives reach every segment of society.

Sharing his own experience, he stated, "I have served as a Sarpanch, and I understand the fulfillment derived from serving the community."

He encouraged women Sarpanches to strive towards making their Gram Panchayats free from poverty. Women Sarpanches also shared innovative projects launched in their areas, such as skill development programs for girls and promoting sports among young women. They attributed these successes to the financial backing provided by the state and central government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guidance.

The Sarpanches expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for their appointments as administrators, promising to persist in their efforts to empower their communities.

Addressing Rajasthan’s female athletes, the Chief Minister encouraged them to inspire the younger generation to engage in sports, ensuring that Rajasthan achieves new milestones.

Under the One District-One Sport initiative, the state government is investing in sports infrastructure, hostels, coaching facilities, and specialized sports schools.

Medal-winning athletes occupy a special status in society, and their accomplishments serve as motivation for aspiring young players. The government is already preparing for the 2036 Olympics, and the Chief Minister invited athletes to provide suggestions for improving sports facilities.

Women athletes engaged in a productive dialogue with the Chief Minister, sharing ideas to foster a sports culture in the state. In his discussions with women working in the social sector, the Chief Minister underscored the significance of women in Sanatan culture and their role in social development.

He reiterated that women's empowerment is fundamental to building thriving villages, towns, and states. He stressed the importance of recognizing and encouraging women's contributions to knowledge, science, and governance.

Reaffirming the government’s goal of eradicating poverty and ensuring inclusive development, he praised women for their commitment and effectiveness, asserting that wherever women are placed, they deliver results.
