During a state-level event commemorating International Women's Day held at Dhan Mandi in Hanumangarh, he called for heightened awareness about women's rights, respect, and equal opportunities.

In his address, CM Sharma extended heartfelt wishes for the occasion and acknowledged that the strength of women continues to motivate society. He referenced the notable achievements of President Droupadi Murmu, the first tribal woman to hold the presidential office, along with Colonel Sophia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, who played significant roles during Operation Sindoor, as exemplars of women who have brought pride to the nation.

He also underscored the international successes of sports icons such as PV Sindhu, Smriti Mandhana, Mirabai Chanu, Harmanpreet Kaur, Manu Bhaker, and Avani Lekhara.

According to CM Sharma, several policies designed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi prioritize women. The Swachh Bharat Mission has resulted in the construction of over 12 crore toilets to uphold women's dignity and safety. Additionally, more than 11 crore LPG connections have been provided through the Ujjwala Yojana, while over 70% of homes built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana are registered in women’s names or jointly owned.

The Nari Shakti Vandan Act, which ensures 33% reservation for women in Parliament and State Assemblies, has further bolstered women's empowerment.

CM Sharma reiterated the state government's commitment to empowering and safeguarding women. Over 16 lakh Lakhpati Didis have been established in Rajasthan, with livelihood assistance of Rs 679 crore given to about 1.39 lakh self-help groups. The Chief Minister’s Ekal Nari Samman Pension Scheme has allocated Rs 6,876 crore to more than 19 lakh women pensioners. Furthermore, under the Chief Minister’s Kanyadaan Scheme, nearly Rs 101 crore has been disbursed for the marriages of more than 27,000 girls.

The Lado Protsahan Yojana is aiding in fostering a favorable attitude towards the health and education of girl children, offering financial support of Rs 1.5 lakh in seven installments, benefiting over six lakh girls to date. Other initiatives like the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana and Maa Voucher Scheme also significantly contribute to women's welfare.

CM Sharma pointed out that due to the government's effective measures, the average investigation time for crimes against women has decreased from 128 days in 2020 to 52 days, with incidents falling by approximately 10% compared to 2023.

The Chief Minister also assured that the state government is committed to equitable development across regions. The additional Rs 150 bonus on the MSP of wheat announced in the 2026 state budget will particularly benefit farmers in the Sri Ganganagar–Hanumangarh area. Ongoing projects such as the reconstruction of the Indira Gandhi Canal Project (IGNP) and the Ganga Canal development will further enhance irrigation facilities, with Rs 500 crore allocated for canal construction in Hanumangarh.

Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari stated that under the guidance of CM Bhajan Lal Sharma, the government is ensuring that women directly receive the advantages of welfare schemes via DBT.

She also mentioned that the 10% increase in honorarium for Anganwadi workers, helpers, and assistants would further empower women.

Minister of Food and Civil Supplies, Sumit Godara, highlighted that the reduction in petrol and diesel prices has greatly relieved the citizens of Sri Ganganagar and Hanumangarh.

He added that the allocation of Rs 5,000 crore for electricity supply and canal water availability will be advantageous for farmers.

During the event, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone and inaugurated development projects exceeding Rs 1,000 crore in Hanumangarh. He also launched the Lado Protsahan Yojana portal and transferred funds to beneficiaries of this program, the Chief Minister’s Maternity Nutrition Scheme, and the Girl Child Distance Education Scheme through DBT.

Symbolic cheques were distributed to beneficiaries under the PM SVANidhi Yojana, Chief Minister’s Nari Shakti Udyam Protsahan Yojana, and self-help groups receiving loans.
