Since 2014, he noted, the Central government has launched numerous significant initiatives aimed at enhancing women’s dignity, safety, and empowerment.
Programs such as the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, Lakhpati Didi, Ujjwala Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, and the Swachh Bharat Mission have positively impacted a vast number of women nationwide.
Both the Central and Rajasthan governments are dedicated to uplifting women's socio-economic status through focused welfare initiatives.
Highlighting the achievements in Rajasthan, CM Sharma mentioned that women are excelling in various domains such as sports, defense, entrepreneurship, science, education, and the arts, bringing pride to both the state and the country.
He pointed out that schemes like the Lado Protsahan Yojana are empowering young girls, while the Maa Voucher Scheme is offering free sonography services to expectant mothers.
Moreover, more than 1.6 million women in the state have attained the status of 'Lakhpati Didis', indicating a surge in financial independence.
Sharma also mentioned the establishment of the Kalika Patrolling Unit, which aims to enhance women's safety.
The Chief Minister’s Nari Shakti Udyam Protsahan Yojana is designed to promote women entrepreneurship, while the Dugdha Utpadak Sambal Yojana is empowering women in the dairy sector through a subsidy of five rupees per liter.
Furthermore, he highlighted broader developmental initiatives, stating that the 'Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit' has garnered investment proposals amounting to Rs 3.5 trillion, with projects worth approximately Rs 900 billion already in progress. The HPCL Rajasthan Refinery project is expected to accelerate industrial growth in the region.
Additionally, the completion of Phase 2 of the Jaipur Metro will offer women safer and more convenient transportation solutions.
