CSMIA Becomes India's First Airport to Achieve Level 5 Accreditation from ACI: Gautam Adani

Ahmedabad, Jan 8 (NationPress) The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) has proudly become the first airport in India to receive the highly esteemed Level 5 accreditation from the internationally recognized Airports Council International (ACI), as announced by Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, on Wednesday.

According to Gautam Adani, CSMIA, which is operated by Adani Airport Holdings Ltd (AAHL), is not only the first in India but also the third airport globally to achieve Level 5 accreditation from ACI for ‘Customer Experience’.

“A company’s ability to serve its customers is the ultimate indicator of business success. I encourage all members of Adani Airports to commit their time to this guiding principle,” Gautam Adani expressed in a statement on the social media platform X.

“It gives me immense gratitude to announce that our @CSMIA_Official has received @ACIWorld’s esteemed Level 5 Accreditation for Customer Experience. We are not just the first airport in India, but the third worldwide to accomplish this,” the Adani Group Chairman shared.

He added, “On behalf of AAHL, I promise to continue serving all passengers who pass through our airports.”

“I extend my gratitude to my passengers and my colleagues at AAHL,” Gautam Adani stated.

In the meantime, CSMIA has sustained its growth trajectory in November 2024, registering 4.77 million passengers for the month, alongside a notable increase in cargo operations. The passenger figures included 3.4 million domestic and 1.37 million international travelers.

During this period, the Mumbai International Airport managed 27,200 Air Traffic Movements (ATMs) — including 9,696 domestic ATMs (freighters included) and 7,504 international ATMs (cargo freighters included).

CSMIA asserts its commitment to uphold its status as a leader in global aviation. With a focus on providing world-class services and enhancing connectivity, the airport continues to establish benchmarks in operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

In September, CSMIA was honored with the CII’s national award for Excellence in Energy Management.
