Delhi BJP Accuses Kejriwal of Election Rigging with Fake Voters

New Delhi, Dec 28 (NationPress) Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva on Saturday accused AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal of attempting to manipulate elections, highlighting cases of property owners whose addresses have allegedly been used to fabricate fake voter IDs and bogus votes.

Sachdeva provided information about homeowners whose addresses were exploited to generate fraudulent Muslim votes, revealing that households with five members were abruptly recorded as having 60 or more Muslim voters.

BJP leader and legal advisor Sanket Gupta, who manages legal affairs for the election committee, was also present at the press conference.

Sachdeva claimed that Kejriwal, along with his MLAs, has been operating a fraudulent voter scheme for the past decade to secure electoral victories.

He referred to a case from Tughlakabad, where the address of resident Mohit Mavi was misused for voters like Mohammed Suleiman and Imran Khan, among others.

In a similar instance, at Ankur’s residence in Tehkhand, 10 legitimate votes coexisted with 14 fraudulent ones under names such as Junaid Alam and Mohammed Azgar. Deepak’s home, which legitimately has only five voters, was falsely associated with 60 additional fake voters, he stated.

Niranjan Bidhuri from Chhuriya Mohalla reported that his vacant house had been linked to 64 fraudulent voters, he mentioned.

In the Kalkaji constituency’s Navjeevan Camp, Himanshu’s home, which has five legitimate residents, had 55 fake voters added, he claimed.

Sachdeva criticized Kejriwal for compromising democracy by fostering fake voters and asserted that the BJP would escalate the matter to the Election Commission and seek legal action.

The party also urged for improvements to the voter list verification system.

He remarked that Delhi's voter history reveals a questionable pattern. In the lead-up to the 2015 Assembly elections, the voter count in Delhi surged by 14 lakh in merely eight months, increasing from around 1.19 crore in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections to 1.33 crore.

Following that, during the subsequent four years leading to the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, only 6 lakh voters were added. Yet, within eight months prior to the 2020 Assembly elections, the voter count soared by another 9 lakh to over 1.48 crore, Sachdeva noted.

Sachdeva indicated that the Election Commission recently filed an FIR at Shaheen Bagh police station in Okhla against four individuals implicated in voter fraud utilizing forged documents. The accused were identified as Jameel Alam, Kishunik, Mohammed Naeem, and Shabana Khatoon.
