Kolkata, Jan 28 (NationPress) Just hours after the Trinamool Congress MLA Madan Mitra engaged in a shocking and unacceptable slander against the parents of the female doctor from R.G. Kar Medical College & Hospital, the father of the victim responded forcefully.
The victim's father stated in a media interaction on Tuesday evening that he was willing to offer money to Mitra if he could return his daughter.
“From the start, we have maintained that we do not seek compensation for our daughter's situation. Mitra holds a senior position within the Trinamool Congress. I would be willing to pay more, but can he bring our daughter back?” he expressed.
He further mentioned that there had been ongoing efforts to silence their voices through financial offers since day one.
“Initially, a Deputy Commissioner-level police officer proposed a monetary offer. Now, Mitra is making similar claims publicly,” the heartbroken father remarked.
RG Kar case: Trinamool resorts to unprecedented slander against victim's parents
Previously, the controversial Trinamool Congress figure and party legislator Madan Mitra made a shocking and inappropriate slander against the parents.
In response to the victim's parents stating their opposition to the death penalty for Sanjay Roy, Mitra insinuated that the parents' real intention might be to seek substantial compensation for their loss.
“Their statements are inconsistent. Do they aim for financial compensation for their loss? If so, they should be direct about it. Hundreds of crores have already been raised for the doctors' movement related to this matter. If they desire, thousands of crores more could be generated and utilized for a worthy cause,” Mitra asserted.
