Frustration and Desperation Fuel Congress's False Narratives Against Amit Shah: TN BJP

Chennai, Dec 19 (NationPress) Tamil Nadu BJP spokesperson and senior leader ANS Prasad on Thursday criticized the Congress party and its allies for spreading false narratives against Union Home Minister Amit Shah concerning his Parliament address referencing B. R. Ambedkar. Prasad pointed out that this behavior reflects the frustration and desperation of the INDIA bloc.
In his statement, Prasad emphasized that Shah's recent address in Parliament highlighted Dr. Ambedkar's remarkable legacy, asserting that simply invoking his name has become a meaningless trend.
The Union Minister articulated that merely repeating Ambedkar's name, similar to invoking a deity's name, does not ensure salvation.
Real commitment to upholding the Constitution and achieving social justice is essential, he asserted.
Prasad underscored the repeal of Article 370, which conferred special status to Jammu and Kashmir, as a significant accomplishment aligning with Dr. Ambedkar's vision for a unified India.
He contended that this action had left the opposition in disarray and thwarted their plans to fragment the nation.
Prasad commended Home Minister Shah for introducing vital legislative measures in Parliament aimed at fostering social justice, equality, and good governance. These include the Waqf Amendment Bill 2024, the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Bill, the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Amendment Bill.
He stated that these bills exemplify the government's dedication to advancing social justice and equality while dismantling the Congress's anti-Dalit policies.
Prasad highlighted that the BJP government, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has undertaken substantial initiatives to empower marginalized communities.
Programs like Swachh Bharat, PM Awas Yojana, and the enhancement of the SC/ST Act illustrate this pledge.
Other key initiatives, such as the Jal Jeevan Mission and Ujjwala Yojana, have significantly improved the lives of marginalized groups, along with the development of the Panchteerth, resolution of Chaitya Bhoomi land issues, and the restoration of Ambedkar's residences in Delhi and London to honor his legacy.
Prasad also recalled that in 2019, during the celebration of the 70th anniversary of India's Constitution, PM Modi praised the Constitution crafted by Ambedkar as India's 'sacred book'.
The BJP leader accused the Congress party of distorting history and engaging in manipulative tactics.
"Their actions are a testament to their desperation and lack of true commitment to the people's welfare," he stated.
He cautioned that such 'deceitful' tactics would ultimately lead to the Congress party's demise, as the Indian populace demands honesty, integrity, and transparency from its leaders.
Prasad condemned the opposition for their disruptions in Parliament during the special session honoring 75 years of India’s Constitution.
He labeled their actions as a 'blatant disrespect' to the Constitution and Parliament, driven by political gain.
He also criticized the Trinamool Congress for filing a breach of privilege notice against Union Minister Shah, calling it an example of 'low-grade politics.'
Prasad asserted that the Congress party and its allies, including the DMK, are conspiring to undermine Home Minister Shah and the Modi government.
Despite their efforts, the BJP remains steadfast in its vision for a robust and cohesive India.
He expressed confidence in Union Minister Shah's leadership, guided by his belief in Indian culture and ethos, to propel the nation towards a prosperous future.
