An official indicated that this operation took place at the city's bus stand and MG Road, where the 23 women were found loitering.
He noted that the women apprehended were released with a caution against repeating such behavior in the future.
“Essential directives have been issued to operators of hotels, restaurants, and guesthouses that provide accommodation to women and girls engaged in such illegal activities. Their establishments will face penalties and legal action if found in violation,” stated Karan Goel, DCP (West).
He emphasized that the presence of these women involved in undesirable activities creates problems for local workers and residents, leading to an increase in miscreants in those areas, thereby damaging the social environment.
