Gurugram Set to Welcome State-of-the-Art Bus Terminal: Anil Vij

Gurugram, Jan 9 (NationPress) Haryana Transport Minister Anil Vij revealed on Wednesday that residents of Gurugram will soon benefit from a cutting-edge Millennium bus terminal, which will feature a variety of essential facilities for travelers.
Additionally, Vij mentioned that the state government plans to procure 750 new buses shortly, and is contemplating the establishment of an electronic center to ensure the fitness of all buses.
The Minister made these statements to the media after conducting an unannounced inspection of the Gurugram bus terminal on Wednesday.
During the inspection, he expressed his dissatisfaction with the deplorable condition of the bus station.
"The state government has secured land for a new bus terminal in Gurugram, and a comprehensive project report is currently being developed to initiate the project," he stated.
Vij also encouraged the General Manager to submit proposals for any additional facilities needed for passenger convenience at the Gurugram bus terminal.
When asked about encroachments around the bus terminal, he responded: "I have directed the relevant Station House Officer to ensure that any bus parked outside the terminal is promptly taken to the police station."
Addressing concerns regarding the cleanliness of food items at the bus terminal, Vij emphasized that illegal items will not be permitted for sale at any bus terminal in Haryana.
"We have established a policy regarding this matter, and we are coordinating with Haryana Tourism to ensure that quality food items are available at all bus terminals," he explained.
During his inspection, Vij instructed Gurugram General Manager Pradeep Kumar to ensure that the entire bus terminal is cleaned daily using a vacuum cleaner.
Furthermore, the Minister inspected the office of the Superintending Engineer of Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam in Gurugram and directed the ACS to meticulously review the equipment purchase files and prioritize addressing public grievances promptly.
