Haryana's Chief Minister Appreciates PM Modi for Initiating Bima Sakhi Yojana in Panipat

Panipat, Dec 9 (NationPress) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Monday extended his heartfelt thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for designating the historic location of Panipat for the nationwide inauguration of the Bima Sakhi Yojana.
Addressing the audience at the launch event of the ‘Bima Sakhi Yojana’, Prime Minister Modi highlighted that Haryana “is a land that embodies sacrifice, resilience, bravery, and service, and continues to inspire a message of women empowerment.”
Present at the event were Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minister of Power Manohar Lal, Union Minister of State Rao Inderjit Singh, and state Cabinet ministers Shruti Choudhry and Kumari Arti Singh Rao.
The Prime Minister reminisced about the launch of the ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ campaign in 2015 from Panipat, stating, “Today, with the launch of the Bima Sakhi Yojana, we are taking another monumental step towards the upliftment and empowerment of women.”
Saini reiterated Haryana's dedication to significantly contributing to the advancement of India and ensuring the effective implementation of the Bima Sakhi Yojana.
He emphasized that this initiative would foster self-reliance among women and enable them to play a crucial role in realizing a developed India.
The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for this initiative and also acknowledged him for laying the foundation of the main campus of Maharana Pratap Horticulture University.
Saini recalled that the Prime Minister once mentioned that India’s progress hinges on empowering 50 percent of its population—women.
“When women participate fully and contribute to the nation’s economy, India’s future is assured,” the Chief Minister remarked.
He noted that nearly nine years ago, on January 22, 2015, from this very land, Prime Minister Modi had initiated the ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ campaign. “Thanks to this initiative, Haryana has seen a significant improvement in its gender ratio, increasing from 871 to 916.”
The Chief Minister stated that the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign has dramatically transformed Haryana into a symbol of women empowerment. “This change is evident as Prime Minister Narendra Modi has chosen Panipat to unveil initiatives aimed at women.”
On behalf of the citizens of Haryana, he assured that the Bima Sakhi Yojana would achieve success comparable to that of the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign.
