Kancharla Chandrasekhar Reddy Meets Deepa Dasmunsi, Congress In-Charge for Telangana

Hyderabad, Dec 23 (NationPress) The father-in-law of Tollywood actor Allu Arjun, Kancharla Chandrasekhar Reddy, had a meeting with the AICC in-charge for Telangana, Deepa Dasmunsi, on Monday.

This discussion took place at the Congress party's local headquarters, Gandhi Bhavan, amidst ongoing controversies surrounding the actor after the tragic December 4 stampede during the premiere of 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' in Hyderabad.

Chandrasekhar Reddy exited Gandhi Bhavan following his meeting with Dasmunsi, amidst claims from certain media outlets that he felt slighted for not securing a direct audience with the AICC in-charge.

He left without addressing questions from journalists.

However, Mahesh Kumar Goud, the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President, confirmed that Chandrasekhar Reddy had indeed met with Dasmunsi.

Goud mentioned that Reddy intended to meet him but left after the brief meeting with Dasmunsi due to Goud's commitments at a press conference.

Goud also affirmed that Chandrasekhar Reddy remains a part of the Congress party and that he would reach out to him.

Earlier this year, in February, Reddy made the switch from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) to join the Congress party.

This meeting with Dasmunsi occurred a day after members from the Osmania University Joint Action Committee vandalized Allu Arjun's residence in Hyderabad, demanding that the actor compensate the family of a woman who tragically lost her life in the stampede at Sandhya Theatre.

During an assembly session on December 21, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy leveled strong accusations against Allu Arjun, holding him responsible for the stampede that resulted in the death of a woman and serious injuries to her son.

Revanth Reddy criticized Allu Arjun for visiting the theatre without police consent and conducting a 'roadshow' despite the tragic incident.

The actor faced backlash for not reaching out to the grieving family or visiting the injured child in the hospital.

The Chief Minister also expressed disapproval of film personalities flocking to Allu Arjun's home following his release from jail.
