Bhopal, February 23 (NationPress) - A shocking video emerged on social media on Monday, depicting a young boy brutally assaulted with a large knife and dagger by two other minors at a pool club situated in the Teela Jamalpura neighborhood of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Disturbingly, after being apprehended by police regarding the incident, the two minors received notices and were subsequently released.

The viral footage clearly shows the two attackers entering the pool club and violently stabbing a Class 10 student more than a dozen times in less than half a minute.

Police confirmed that this horrifying event took place on February 15.

What added to the outrage was the revelation that the alleged attackers circulated the CCTV footage on social media themselves, according to police reports.

The victim is currently hospitalized in Bhopal, and both the assailants and the victim are acquainted with one another, with all three being minors.

The disturbing video illustrates the two minors entering the pool club, quickly cornering the victim, and launching a swift attack with their weapons before fleeing the scene.

Investigations by the police indicated that the assault was rooted in a previous dispute, occurring when the victim was watching a pool game on the first floor near Ganesh Chowk in Teela Jamalpura on February 15.

According to Sub-Inspector Mahipal Singh Bhadoria of Gautam Nagar Police Station, as the victim sat there, the two accused approached him, hurled insults, and threatened him, claiming he was being overly dominant in the pool game.

When the victim confronted them about their abusive behavior, the two boys allegedly began beating him with their fists before attacking him with sharp weapons.

The police reported that the victim sustained over a dozen cuts and suffered severe injuries to his shoulder and back. “The victim is receiving medical care and his condition is improving,” Bhadoria stated.

The viral footage has raised significant concerns regarding the law enforcement's response in Bhopal and the actions taken in this case. After their detention, the minors were issued notices and released.

Authorities mentioned that the case was initially filed under assault-related sections, but more severe charges will be added as the medical report assesses the injuries.
