The Expo, scheduled from January 17-22 across three different locations -- Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi in Delhi, along with the India Expo Center and Mart in Greater Noida -- will feature over nine concurrent exhibitions, more than 20 conferences, and dedicated pavilions.

Moreover, the Expo will include state-specific sessions aimed at highlighting policies and initiatives within the mobility domain to foster collaboration between industry and regional stakeholders, as stated by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

This year's event will particularly focus on its global relevance, welcoming participants from around the world as exhibitors and attendees.

This initiative is led by the industry and supported by the government, with coordination by the Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) of India, in collaboration with various industry associations and partner organizations.

In a recent report, automobile sales in the country experienced a significant increase of 11.6 percent in 2024, reaching a record high of 2.5 crore units, compared to 2.3 crore units in the previous year, as per the wholesale data from the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).

This growth solidified India as the world's third-largest car market last year, driven mainly by the two-wheeler sector, which saw a 14.5 percent increase in 2024, with sales hitting 1.95 crore units. Additionally, both passenger vehicles and three-wheelers achieved their highest sales ever recorded in a calendar year.

During the October-December quarter, passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and three-wheelers reported unprecedented growth, according to SIAM data.
