New Delhi, Feb 4 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday highlighted his government's success in lifting over 25 crore individuals above the poverty line and criticized the prior Congress administrations for misleading citizens with false promises.

While addressing the Lok Sabha during the Motion of Thanks to the President’s address, PM Modi asserted that the historic party merely boasted about poverty alleviation for decades without implementing significant changes.

“True transformation occurs when individuals with a grassroots understanding collaborate with unwavering determination. Only then does genuine change materialize,” the Prime Minister remarked.

Mocking the Congress party’s Garibi Hatao initiative, PM Modi stated, “We did not offer them false hopes but instead brought about real change.”

“Authentic change requires courage, determination, and a commitment to effect it. It is unfortunate that many people today lack these qualities,” he added.

He also detailed the government's initiatives aimed at assisting the underprivileged and explained how numerous welfare schemes are benefiting the populace.

The Prime Minister noted that approximately 4 crore individuals have received pucca houses. Only those residing in kuccha houses can truly comprehend the associated pain and suffering.

“We have constructed over 12 crore toilets. Women had to endure long waits for relief. The building of toilets has alleviated their daily struggles. Our government has ensured direct tap water connections to around 12 crore households under the Nal se Jal scheme,” he explained.

In a subtle reference to Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the Prime Minister remarked that some leaders are preoccupied with jacuzzis and stylish showers, while his administration concentrates on enhancing tap water supplies.

“The President, in her address, outlined the roadmap for the next 25 years, inspiring renewed hope for the Viksit Bharat goal and encouraging the younger generation to contribute,” he concluded.
