The Zoji La Tunnel is a 14.2-kilometre road tunnel being constructed under the Zoji La pass in the upper Himalayas, designed to provide all-weather connectivity between the Kashmir Valley and Ladakh. The pass, which sits at an altitude of roughly 11,575 feet, is snowbound for several months each year, cutting off Ladakh from Kashmir and severely disrupting civilian movement, trade, and military logistics.
