Mahakumbh Nagar, Jan 20 (NationPress) In an effort to simplify the process of obtaining bonfire wood, the government of Uttar Pradesh has introduced a digital platform on Monday, allowing Maha Kumbh devotees to place orders and receive deliveries within hours.

The Uttar Pradesh Forest Corporation has made the locations of firewood depots available through Google. This initiative aims to assist pilgrims in managing the cold during the festivities.

Devotees, including international visitors, can conveniently find depots by searching for "firewood depot Prayagraj" online, ensuring a seamless experience.

DSM Prayagraj R.K. Chandna revealed that 16 firewood depots have been established throughout the Mahakumbh area, with prices set at Rs 600 per quintal. This initiative addresses the rising demand for firewood during the event, guaranteeing a steady supply.

The primary depots are situated in Sector 16. The Uttar Pradesh Forest Corporation ensures that wood is available at competitive rates. Pilgrims can easily find these depots by searching "firewood depot" online and utilize mobile navigation to reach the nearest location effortlessly.

The Uttar Pradesh Forest Corporation estimates that around 27,000 quintals of wood will be supplied during the Mahakumbh. Firewood will be distributed from various depots across the state and available for purchase at the set rate of Rs 600 per quintal.

This digital initiative from the government enhances accessibility for devotees and contributes to a well-organized Mahakumbh experience.

Additionally, the one and a half-month-long Maha Kumbh is poised to elevate Brand UP on a global scale, with leading Indian firms investing Rs 30,000 crore in marketing, thereby enhancing the global reputation of Uttar Pradesh and India.

This exposure is expected to broaden markets for Indian and local products, promoting the Make in India and Vocal for Local initiatives.

Since 2018, the administration led by Yogi Adityanath has been driving this change with programs like the One District, One Product (ODOP) scheme, positioning Uttar Pradesh as a global brand.
