Uttar Pradesh Government to Establish a Luxurious Tent City Following the Designation of Maha Kumbh Area as a New District for Mahakumbh 2025

Prayagraj, Dec 3 (NationPress) After the Uttar Pradesh government designated the Maha Kumbh region in Prayagraj as a new district, it is in the process of establishing a luxurious tent city comprising more than 2,000 Swiss cottage-style tents in Sector 20 (Arail) of the Mahakumbh Mela area to accommodate the vast number of devotees expected for the Mahakumbh 2025.

According to an official announcement, the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation Limited (UPSTDC) is spearheading the initiative in partnership with six significant collaborators: Aagaman, Kumbh Camp India, Rishikul Kumbh Cottage, Kumbh Village, Kumbh Canvas, and Era.

This grand undertaking aims to serve the anticipated 45 crore visitors from 75 different countries.

The tents will be constructed to meet world-class standards, boasting five-star hotel-like facilities.

The tent city will provide accommodations in four categories: Villa, Maharaja, Swiss Cottage, and Dormitory, with rates ranging from Rs 1,500 to Rs 35,000 per day.

Guests will incur additional charges of Rs 4,000 to Rs 8,000 for extra occupants (excluding dormitories).

This tent city is being developed in alignment with the vision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

With a projected influx of 45 crore pilgrims, the tents will be operational from January 1 to March 5, offering world-class accommodation amenities.

Accommodation can be reserved through the UPSTDC website or the Mahakumbh app, as stated in the announcement.

To ensure guest comfort, the tent city will feature Villa Tents covering 900 square feet, Super Deluxe Tents ranging from 480 to 580 square feet, and Deluxe Blocks spanning 250 to 400 square feet.

These tents will be furnished with contemporary amenities such as air conditioning, double beds, mattresses, sofa sets, customized interiors, writing desks, electric geysers, fire extinguishers, quilts, blankets, mosquito nets, Wi-Fi, dining spaces, common sitting areas, all complemented by scenic views of the riverbank.

Moreover, the tent package will provide information about yoga, cultural events, and important religious and historical sites in Prayagraj and its vicinity.

In a historic decision made on Sunday, the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government officially designated the Maha Kumbh area in Prayagraj as a new district.

The upcoming Maha Kumbh, which occurs once every 12 years, is set to commence on January 13 and conclude on February 26, 2025, in Prayagraj.

The Maha Kumbh is anticipated to be a landmark event in the promotion of Indian culture.
