Hyderabad, Sep 23 (NationPress) The President of AIMIM, Asaduddin Owaisi, is set to commence his party's campaign for the upcoming Assembly elections in Bihar with the ‘Seemanchal Nyay Yatra starting on Wednesday. This initiative will traverse the Seemanchal region until September 27.

The journey will begin in Kishanganj and aims to unite the populace for development while advocating for justice in the Seemanchal area, as highlighted by the party's statement on Tuesday.

During the Yatra, Owaisi plans to conduct roadshows and hold corner meetings across various Assembly constituencies within Seemanchal.

For over a decade, the AIMIM chief has been vocal about the underdevelopment in the Seemanchal region.

He has introduced a Private Member's Bill in the Lok Sabha, which calls for the establishment of a Seemanchal Region Development Council to tackle the area's backwardness.

On the inaugural day, the Yatra will cover the Assembly constituencies of Kishanganj, Thakurganj, and Bahadurganj, starting in Kishanganj and concluding at Janata Hat after passing through Pothia, Thakurganj, Powakhali, Bahadurganj, Lohagara Hat, and LRP Chowk.

On September 25, Owaisi will continue his journey through Kochadaman, Jokihat, Araria, and Purnia Assembly constituencies. The Yatra will start from Kishanganj to Rahmatpara, Sontha, and Jokihat, concluding in Araria.

The following day, he will visit Purnia, Baisi, and Amour Assembly constituencies, beginning from Purnia and traveling to Dagarua, Baisi, Amour, and Baisa, culminating at Baraedgah.

On September 27, Owaisi is expected to address meetings in Baisi, Katihar, Balrampur, Kadwa, and Pranpur Assembly constituencies. The Yatra will start from Kishanganj and end at Bighor after passing through Dangra, Balarampur, Chandani Chowk, and Barsoi.

In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, the AIMIM contested 19 seats and secured five (Amour, Kochadaman, Baisi, Jokihat, Bahadurganj).
