Raipur, Nov 1 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially opened the grand Shanti Shikhar Academy for Peaceful World – a spiritual empowerment hub located in Nava Raipur. He praised the Brahma Kumaris as a vital link between India’s rich spiritual heritage and the global pursuit of peace.
Speaking to thousands of attendees dressed in white, along with international delegates, the PM reflected on his longstanding relationship with the Brahma Kumaris and envisioned Shanti Shikhar as a future cornerstone for global tranquility.
"I have had the privilege of connecting with you over many years," PM Modi stated, recalling his involvement in the 2011 Future of Power summit in Ahmedabad and the 2013 gathering in Prayagraj.
"I have witnessed your impactful actions—where service is more significant than mere words. The love of Janaki Devi and the spiritual dedication of every sister here inspire immense gratitude in me."
He welcomed the gathering with "Om Shanti", clarifying: "Om represents the Creator and the universe; Shanti embodies the aspiration for global peace. Your actions exemplify the highest principles of religion, self-discipline, and wisdom."
The Prime Minister highlighted the Brahma Kumaris as guardians of India’s essence.
"We recognize the divine in every individual, expanding our understanding to encompass all. Mastering oneself leads to self-awareness, self-discovery, and ultimately self-peace," he remarked. "Your rituals culminate in prayers for the welfare of all—this blend of faith and global goodwill is the essence of our tradition."
Addressing current global challenges, PM Modi emphasized India’s proactive stance.
"Whenever the world is in crisis, India steps in as a trusted ally. In the face of environmental challenges, we stand as nature's advocates," he proclaimed.
"We honor rivers as our mothers, cherish water, and strive to replenish rather than exploit. This encapsulates our Save the Future initiative for the planet."
He connected the Mission LiFE and the philosophy of One Earth, One Family to the Brahma Kumaris’ principles.
"Centres like Shanti Shikhar will invigorate India and unite millions in the pursuit of peace. In every nation I visit, I encounter the Brahma Kumaris—this connection provides me with a sense of belonging and strength."
The expansive Shanti Shikhar spans 25 acres and includes meditation halls, environmentally-friendly accommodations, and solar-powered facilities.
PM Modi inaugurated the facility with Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Brahma Kumaris leader Dadi Ratan Mohini, who presented him with a symbolic lotus flower.
As the crowd chanted "Om Shanti", PM Modi stated: "Your spiritual strength, when words translate into actions, will illuminate the path for humanity. Shanti Shikhar transcends mere structure; it symbolizes a global peace movement."
The event, marking the silver jubilee of Chhattisgarh, attracted delegates from various countries, bolstering India's soft-power diplomacy rooted in spirituality.
