PM Modi Promises Ongoing Free Welfare Initiatives in Delhi

New Delhi, Jan 5 (NationPress) No current public welfare program in Delhi will be canceled once the BJP takes control, declared Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, effectively confirming the persistence of free water, electricity, and bus travel for women that the present AAP government provides.
While addressing a gathering after unveiling a new segment of the Metro corridor from Janakpuri West station, PM Modi criticized the ruling AAP for 'spreading misinformation' regarding the fate of existing welfare programs should the BJP gain power in Delhi.
“When the BJP comes to power in Delhi, no public welfare scheme will be eliminated. Moreover, corrupt middlemen and beneficiaries will be removed,” PM Modi stated, comparing the AAP government and its leadership to a calamity – 'AAPada'.
As the BJP and AAP prepare for a fiercely contested Assembly election, PM Modi enumerated the reasons why Delhi requires a BJP Chief Minister and reassured voters of increased income, greater savings, improved schemes for women to facilitate household management, and enhanced education and safety for girls.
“I am confident that the residents of Delhi will reject the 'AAPada' individuals and permit the BJP to develop a modern National Capital for the 21st Century,” said PM Modi.
Encouraging the crowd to chant his new slogan, “Aapda nahin sahenge, badalke rahenge,” PM Modi displayed his combative spirit, referencing a news story on CAG findings that validated corruption in the renovation of “Sheesh Mahal”, the official residence of former CM Arvind Kejriwal.
“The most shocking revelation is that while the populace suffered during COVID-19, they were planning for extravagant spending and tripling the budget for 'Sheesh Mahal',” he remarked.
He expressed dismay at how public funds were squandered in “Sheesh Mahal”, acquiring a silk carpet for Rs 16 lakh, a TV console for Rs 20 lakh, and kitchen appliances for Rs 39 lakh.
The PM accused the AAP government of having questionable “niyat” (intention) and lacking “nishtha” (devotion) towards the people, asserting that it is time to eliminate the corrupt and elect BJP’s honest candidates.
“AAPada individuals are enraged ever since I exposed them,” he added, stating that Sheesh Mahal stands as a testament to their dishonesty.
“Observe the extent of decline they have inflicted upon Delhi. Every season has turned into an 'AAPada-kaal' (disaster) for the citizens. In summer, there is a scarcity of drinking water, during monsoon, flooding occurs, and in winter, people struggle to breathe due to air pollution,” he explained.
Accusing the AAPada government of ruining the city's transport system, PM Modi asserted that the Centre is endeavoring to enhance e-mobility by providing 1,200 e-buses, but they have compromised the system through poor upkeep.
“They also obstructed the distribution of 30,000 houses to the underprivileged. We are regularizing unauthorized colonies, yet they have neglected to supply water and power to them,” he remarked, adding that the Centre's initiatives to introduce Ayushman Bharat- Pradhanmantri Jan Arogya Yojana were also hindered by the AAP government.
With merely a month remaining before the Delhi elections, PM Modi appears to be preparing to take on the responsibility of leading the BJP's campaign in a city where the party has not won an Assembly election in 27 years.
Through his public addresses, PM Modi has consistently aimed to unveil the untruths propagated by the ruling AAP, contending that the AAPada individuals have been obstructing the BJP's efforts to serve the populace.
Sources within the Delhi BJP indicated that additional rallies featuring PM Modi are planned in the lead-up to the Assembly elections for the 70 seats scheduled for February.
