New Delhi, April 6 (NationPress) Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Sunday made a passionate appeal to the youth of Bihar to engage in the White T-Shirt movement, which kicks off on Monday, to convey a powerful message that the residents of the state are determined to shape their own futures.
The Leader of Opposition released a video on his social media platform, calling for a successful White T-shirt movement in Bihar, ahead of his scheduled visit to Begusarai district on April 7.
“The Stop Migration, Give Jobs Yatra will showcase your struggles, hardships, and the aspirations of Bihar’s youth,” he stated in the video and encouraged them to 'demonstrate their strength'.
“This message is directed at every citizen of Bihar. I will be in Begusarai on April 7. I will stand alongside you and amplify your voices regarding issues like inflation, unemployment, privatization, and paper leaks that negatively impact you and your families,” he mentioned in the video.
The goal of the ‘Palayan Yatra’ is to harness the energy of the youth to create a new Bihar, turning it into a land of new opportunities.
“The youth of Bihar will not be misled or bow down to anyone. They will unite and forge a new future for themselves,” he said while encouraging young people to disseminate the video within their networks.
Rahul’s upcoming visit to Bihar, which is preparing for Assembly elections later this year, follows the Congress party’s announcement of new district leaders in the state. The AICC appointed new presidents and working presidents for all 40 organizational districts of Bihar last week.
During his trip, Rahul is also anticipated to evaluate the party’s electoral strategy with the new district heads and outline a plan for the forthcoming elections.
On the other hand, the BJP has strongly criticized Congress MP’s visit to Bihar, predicting that it will lead to another setback for the party.
“Rahul Gandhi has sunk the entire Congress ship. He will do the same in Bihar too. Wherever he goes, Congress faces defeat. Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Delhi are just a few examples. I thank Rahul Gandhi for sinking the Congress ship and squandering his youth in the process. He has become a 55-year-old youth now. He will sink Congress in Bihar as well,” mocked BJP state chief Dilip Jaiswal while speaking to IANS.
