Jaipur, Oct 9 (NationPress) In a significant achievement during the ongoing initiative against unlawful firearms, the Jhalrapatan Police in the Jhalawar district of Rajasthan have dismantled an interstate arms smuggling syndicate, apprehending six suspects, including the gang's leader, and seizing six loaded country-made firearms along with eight live cartridges.
The apprehended suspects include Nandlal alias Nanda Gurjar, a known criminal from Sadar Police Station in Jhalawar, and Hafizullah alias Hafiz Khan, another notorious individual from Susner, Madhya Pradesh. Police disclosed that almost two-and-a-half dozen criminal cases are documented against these two across Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar stated that a special operation is underway across the district to combat organized crime. Acting on precise intelligence, a team led by Station Officer Harlal Meena, under the guidance of Additional SP Chiranji Lal Meena and DySP Harshraj Singh Khareda, conducted a series of raids on October 7 and 8, culminating in the arrests.

Ramnarayan Dangi (67) from Raipur, Jhalawar, was caught near Madhopur Puliya with a 12-bore country-made pistol and two live cartridges.
During initial questioning, gang leader Lalu Khatik admitted to acquiring the firearms from Manawar, Madhya Pradesh, and distributing them to other gang members throughout the area. Police confirmed that all arrested individuals are repeat offenders with a record of criminal behavior.
