Bengaluru, April 14 (NationPress) In a disturbing incident, a tech professional attempted to take his own life near the Governor's residence after stating that he could no longer endure the torment inflicted by his wife.
The event transpired on Sunday, and the individual was identified as Junaid Ahmad.
As reported by local authorities, Junaid, who is from Chikkaballapura district, attempted self-immolation by dousing himself in petrol.
Junaid alleged that he faced abuse from his wife, claiming she had filed a false dowry case against him alongside various other allegations.
He asserted that when he attempted to file a report with the Chikkaballapura police regarding his wife's behavior, the police would not accept his grievance.
Frustrated by this refusal, Junaid made the drastic decision to attempt suicide in front of the Raj Bhavan.
Fortunately, the police on duty intervened, detaining him and subsequently taking him to the Vidhana Soudha police station. After hearing his account, the police provided counseling and released him, according to sources.
