Patna, May 30 (NationPress) Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's two-day trip to Bihar, Leader of the Opposition (LoP) and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav mounted a strong response, challenging the Prime Minister's silence on significant concerns affecting the state.
On the social media platform X, LoP Yadav accused the NDA government of neglecting Bihar's development, despite ruling for 20 years in the state and 11 years at the national level.
In a pointed post, he stated: "Bihar is grappling with record levels of unemployment, poverty, and migration, all of which are the unfortunate legacies of the NDA's lengthy governance."
Quoting data from NITI Aayog, he highlighted that Bihar ranks low in vital areas such as education, healthcare, law and order, industry, and per capita income.
LoP Yadav criticized PM Modi for overlooking pressing issues, remarking: "The Prime Minister visits Bihar only during election years, perpetually recycling the same outdated announcements and inaugurations, some of which date back to 2015."
To emphasize his message, he shared a poster featuring a half-image of PM Modi with the caption "Mouh Khula Hi Nahi", asserting that the Prime Minister remained silent on numerous critical matters, including CM Nitish Kumar's health, unemployment and job creation, the dismal state of Bihar's healthcare, escalating crime, the failing education system, Bihar's long-standing request for special state status, the safety of business owners and traders, lack of industrial growth, absence of new investments, ongoing migration of Biharis, and pervasive poverty in the region.
During his visit, PM Modi announced and inaugurated projects worth Rs 48,500 crore, which included infrastructure and agricultural initiatives, and paid tribute to the armed forces for their bravery in Operation Sindoor.
He also held a roadshow on Thursday and addressed a large rally in Karakat (Bikramganj) on Friday.
However, LoP Yadav dismissed these actions as mere electoral theatrics, claiming that the people of Bihar are now wise to such misleading rhetoric and empty promises.
"This is Bihar -- and Biharis know precisely who is being truthful and who is not," he asserted.
