Key Takeaways
Dhar, April 7 (NationPress) The National President of the Antarrashtriya Hindu Parishad (International Hindu Council), Pravin Togadia, made a significant visit to the contentious Bhojshala-Kamal Maula Mosque complex in Dhar on Tuesday, amidst a continuing satyagraha by the Hindu community.
“How can prayers be conducted at a location with undeniable proof of a Hindu temple? The Mughal period is in the past. The present governments are dedicated to safeguarding religious liberties. Hindus must be granted complete, uninterrupted access to worship at their sacred locations,” he emphasized.
In the morning, hundreds of devotees gathered for a collective recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa and engaged in traditional worship practices at the site, which is presently overseen by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
Following the satyagraha, Togadia thoroughly examined the entire area. Later, while addressing the media, he reminisced about his involvement in the movement 23 years prior, when over 100,000 people had gathered to unlock Bhojshala.
He expressed his intention to seek the blessings and darshan of Maa Saraswati (Goddess Vagdevi).
Highlighting the visible Hindu symbols within the complex, including a Shivling, a statue of Lord Kartikeya, a shankh (conch shell), and Kaal Sarpa Yoga chakra carvings on the walls, Togadia challenged the validity of performing prayers at the site.
He ardently called for the reinstatement of the original idol of Goddess Vagdevi, complete access for Hindu worshippers, and the revocation of permission for prayers at the disputed location.
In light of the ongoing scientific survey mandated by the court, Togadia expressed optimism that the inscriptions, artifacts, and findings would uncover the genuine original status of Bhojshala.
The ASI report has already pointed towards the existence of earlier temple structures, and he mentioned that Hindus have been patient long enough.
Togadia also advocated for organizational fortification through weekly collective recitations of the Hanuman Chalisa every Tuesday and Saturday.
In the upcoming year, he aims to organize such recitations at 100,000 locations nationwide to engage with 100 million Hindu families.
He urged families to educate their daughters about right and wrong from an early age and to promote societal unity and vigilance regarding their safety.
The dispute surrounding Bhojshala has persisted for years, with the ASI’s scientific survey report (submitted in 2024, released in 2026) revealing that temple remnants were utilized in the construction of the Kamal Maula Mosque.
The issue is currently under legal evaluation at the Madhya Pradesh High Court, where daily hearings are ongoing.
Togadia’s visit has intensified demands for the complete restoration of the site as a Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, originally established by Raja Bhoj.
