An announcement made on Saturday via X urged commuters to steer clear of roads in the Tikri Border, specifically in the Peeragarhi and Rohini regions, between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m., as traffic disruptions are anticipated due to the inauguration.
The advisory stated that the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II) will be closed for the entire day, along with Rohtak Road from Peeragarhi to Tikri Border and vice versa, including all related roads.
Additionally, Bhagwan Mahavir Road and nearby roads such as Bawana Road, Kanjhawala Road, Kanjhawala Link Road, and Badsha Dahiya Marg will also experience traffic changes due to the event.
The advisory also specified that commercial vehicles will be prohibited on Rohtak Road from Tikri Border to Peeragarhi and vice versa.
It provided alternative routes for commercial vehicles, including Tikri Border, Ghevra More, Mundka Red Light, Nangloi Chowk, Bakkarwala More, Jharoda Road under the Bahadurgarh Flyover Toll, and Jharoda Nala under the Flyover towards UER-2.
For those heading to Rohini, vehicles coming from the Ring Road towards the area will not be permitted. Alternate routes include Madhuban Chowk, Outer Ring Road-K.N. Katju Marg Crossing, Outer Ring Road-Rohini Jail Road Crossing, Deepali Chowk, Jaipur Golden Hospital Crossing, and Mahadev Chowk.
Travelers from Tikri Border to Peeragarhi are advised to avoid Rohtak Road and take an alternate path via Jharoda-Najafgarh-Nangloi Road.
Local residents in Rohini should consider using KN Katju Marg, Rohini Jail Marg, and other alternative routes.
The advisory encourages commuters to plan their journeys ahead of time, stating, "In light of the event, travelers should pre-plan their routes and consider using alternative roads to minimize inconvenience. Those traveling on Rohtak Road from Tikri Border to Peeragarhi or vice versa, or to and from Rohini, may want to opt for the metro on August 17," it concluded.
