Tripura Chief Minister Halts Motorcade to Aid Injured Accident Victim

Agartala, Dec 15 (NationPress) Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha showcased his humanitarian spirit yet again by stepping beyond his official duties.
The Chief Minister was on his way back to Agartala after a government event in Udaipur, located in the southern region of Tripura's Gomati District, when he encountered a troubling scene at Gokulnagar on National Highway 8 in Sepahijala District. There, an injured individual was lying helplessly following a road accident.
Exemplifying remarkable compassion and leadership, Saha promptly halted his convoy, exited his vehicle, and sought help from nearby residents.
“Following the Chief Minister's instructions, the middle-aged injured person was swiftly transported to the nearest government hospital in Bishalgarh using a vehicle from the Chief Minister's convoy,” a police spokesperson reported.
Recognizing the critical need for quick medical attention, Saha personally reached out to the doctors at Bishalgarh hospital via phone, urging them to offer the best possible medical care.
In a sincere gesture, he extended his wishes for the injured person's rapid recovery.
He also expressed appreciation to the local community for their swift response and readiness to assist the injured individual during this emergency.
The injured person's motorcycle had previously collided with a car, leaving him stranded on the road in search of help before the Chief Minister's convoy arrived.
“I wish a swift recovery for the injured individual and thank the local community members for stepping up to help. Furthermore, I encourage everyone to drive with greater caution,” stated Saha, a dental surgeon turned politician, in a Facebook update.
In Udaipur, situated 64 km south of Agartala, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stones for seven projects and virtually inaugurated the newly constructed two-storied building of Gamaria High School in Maharani.
