Ranchi, March 28 (NationPress) Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan addressed the graduating class of the Indian Institute of Management Ranchi on Saturday, urging them to place ethical principles above shortcuts in their future careers. He highlighted that true success extends beyond mere financial achievements.
As the Chief Guest at the 15th Convocation Ceremony, he encouraged students to build their careers on integrity, character, and purpose.
“Success should not be gauged solely by financial accomplishments but also by one's responsible contributions to society,” he emphasized.
During the ceremony, a total of 558 students received their degrees, with seven exceptional students being honored with medals and citations.
Top performers from the 2024-26 batch across various programs, including MBA, MBA-BA, MBA-HRM, and Executive MBA (both Summer and Winter), were recognized.
Additionally, two students were awarded the Student Citizenship Award and the Prof Ashish Hajela Award.
The Vice President reiterated the importance of ethical leadership, trust, and integrity as foundational elements for robust and lasting institutions, expressing his pleasure that IIM Ranchi fosters these values.
Reflecting on his time as Jharkhand Governor, he noted his close observation of the institute’s progress, acknowledging its remarkable achievements in recent years.
On this occasion, he also launched the country's inaugural B-school Virtual Reality Case Repository, developed by the institute, calling it a significant advancement in management education.
Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar, present at the ceremony, congratulated the graduates and described the convocation as a pivotal moment in their lives.
He remarked that their success is a testament to their dedication, discipline, and perseverance, urging them to engage in nation-building as responsible and conscientious citizens.
Commending initiatives like the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Centre for Policy, Leadership and Governance and the Centre for Tribal Affairs, the Governor noted their crucial role in promoting inclusive development and good governance.
Several dignitaries, including Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan, Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, and Jharkhand minister Sudivya Kumar, were in attendance at the event.
