Bengaluru, Dec 24 (NationPress) Vijayalaxmi, the spouse of incarcerated Kannada superstar Darshan, took action on Wednesday by lodging a report at the Cyber Crime Police Station against numerous social media accounts for disseminating derogatory remarks aimed at her.

She presented a formal complaint, alongside photographic evidence, against 15 Instagram IDs and over 150 abusive comments. After submitting her complaint, Vijayalaxmi exited the premises without addressing any media inquiries.

Furthermore, she filed a separate complaint at the Bengaluru Police Commissioner’s office, providing screenshots of the hateful comments along with the details of the involved accounts, urging law enforcement to take appropriate measures.

The cybercrime division inspector accepted her complaint and assured her that necessary actions would be taken.

Later, Vijayalaxmi shared an Instagram story about the situation.

She posted screenshots of the abusive comments and identified the accounts responsible.

In her post, she remarked, "To all those who identify as 'class fans', thank you for publicly showcasing your true colors. Police complaints have been filed against these accounts. Harassment disguised as fandom will not be tolerated anymore."

Authorities suspect that fans of actor Kichcha Sudeep may have posted these comments, as some accounts are associated with Sudeep fan pages, while others reference his name or display related stickers, according to police reports.

The police are taking this situation very seriously, as it has exacerbated the existing rift between the fan bases of Darshan and Kichcha Sudeep.

Recently, at a pre-release event for his film 'Mark' in Hubballi, Kichcha Sudeep indicated that "a group is ready for war during his film release," a statement perceived as aimed at Darshan's supporters. In response, Vijayalaxmi made an indirect comment about Sudeep, suggesting that individuals feel emboldened to speak out while Darshan is incarcerated.

Sudeep later clarified that his remark was aimed at those involved in piracy, yet discussions for and against this issue persisted, leading to a surge in hateful comments directed at Vijayalaxmi across social media platforms. The police have initiated further investigations.

The recent release of Darshan's film 'Devil' saw the film's team report the removal of numerous piracy links associated with the movie.

Darshan remains incarcerated at Bengaluru Central Prison in connection with a high-profile fan murder case, with trial proceedings currently underway.
