Bengaluru, Feb 13 (NationPress) The spouse of a senior police officer has filed a complaint against her husband in Bengaluru, claiming that he is involved in an affair with a female colleague. She has also alleged that her husband and his supposed lover are conspiring to harm her.
Private chat screenshots between the two officers have emerged and gone viral across social media platforms. The complaint was officially registered at the High Grounds police station in Bengaluru.
Senior advocate Greeshma, who spoke to the media, indicated, “My client, the one lodging the complaint, has taken legal action against her husband, who holds the position of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP). The grievance has been filed against the husband, his female officer companion, and the parents of the female officer.”
The accused officer entered into marriage with the complainant in 2014, and they share an eight-year-old child. Prior to his police career, the accused was a doctor. Presently, he is assigned to the Cyber Crime Branch in Bengaluru, while the female officer is serving as an ACP in the Cyber Crime Branch located in Karwar city, as per the advocate.
The complaint states that the female officer has persistently messaged the accused. Upon confronting her husband, the complainant claims she faced abuse and harassment.
Additionally, the complainant has accused the female officer of physically attacking her. Following the lodging of her complaint, a case has been recorded at the High Grounds police station, and an investigation is currently in progress. WhatsApp conversations between the accused officers, discussing the complainant, are also under scrutiny. The complainant has asserted that she faces threats to her life, as noted by lawyer Greeshma.
The victim has informed law enforcement that the female officer has been following her husband everywhere. When she confronted him about it, he allegedly kicked her in the abdomen and threatened her with divorce. She also cautioned the female officer to terminate the relationship, according to police sources.
It has been reported that the victim had previously registered a complaint against her husband with a senior police official. Following this, both officers have been summoned for questioning.
The police are now delving into the alleged WhatsApp exchanges between the two accused officers, which reportedly include messages such as “We’ll execute the plan,” “We both will formally marry,” “Our love is too intense,” and “That’s why we sometimes act madly towards each other.”
Further investigation into the matter is ongoing.
