Jaipur, May 15 (NationPress) Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Thursday highlighted that Operation Sindoor represented a pivotal transformation in India's international reputation and military stance.
During the opening ceremony of the Bhairon Singh Shekhawat Memorial Library in Vidyadhar Nagar, Jaipur, Dhankhar noted that India, for the first time, ventured across international frontiers to target terrorist hideouts—without the world demanding validation.
“India has established a new global standard. Through a harmonious demonstration of strength and diplomacy, we executed precise attacks on the terror bases of Jaish-e-Muhammed and Lashkar-e-Toiba. No nation questioned our actions. The world has recognized India's power,” the Vice President stated.
Emphasizing India's rising global prominence, VP Dhankhar asserted that the operation was not merely a military achievement but also a diplomatic victory, attributing this success to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He also mentioned the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty, underscoring India's proactive foreign policy. Reflecting on the nuclear tests conducted in Pokhran during Atal Bihari Vajpayee's administration, Dhankhar said Rajasthan has been the cradle of India's fortitude.
“Pokhran-II was a proclamation of India's nuclear prowess. Today, India ranks as the fourth-largest global power, progressing towards the third position,” he remarked.
In tribute to Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, VP Dhankhar described the late statesman as a champion for the common individual and a model of transparent governance.
“As Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, Shekhawat mandated all MPs to disclose their assets. He believed there are no permanent enemies in politics—a principle we must uphold today,” he emphasized.
VP Dhankhar also acknowledged Chaudhary Devi Lal, stating that both leaders were significant figures in his life due to their integrity and public service.
The event was attended by notable figures including Governor Haribhau Bagde, Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, MP Ghanshyam Tiwari, Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa, and other senior leaders.
