On day two, Yuvraj Sandhu showcased exceptional form, recording seven birdies in the first ten holes, demonstrating remarkable precision with his irons and wedges. He narrowly missed a hole-in-one on the third hole, chipped in on the tenth, and executed fantastic chips along with a superb bunker shot, setting up easy birdie opportunities.
Yuvraj remarked, “This is my fourth consecutive week of competition, so I experienced a bit of shoulder pain at the start. However, Ravinder Sir, the physio here, was instrumental in alleviating the pain. I’m very grateful to him.
“With no wind in the morning, I seized the opportunity to capitalize on the conditions. However, once the wind picked up in the afternoon, I lost a shot or two during that transition.
“I’m thrilled to be playing at Jaypee after quite some time; in fact, this is my first professional event at this venue. My last appearance here was as an amateur. The course has become quite challenging, showcasing its own unique difficulties.”
The 26-year-old Arjun Prasad, still on the hunt for his first victory, made four birdies and one bogey during Round 2. Three of Arjun's birdies were on par-5 holes, thanks to two impressive ups and downs and a great bunker shot.
Arjun stated, “I’ve had a solid start to the season, thanks to all the effort I’ve put in with my coach and team. I’ve enjoyed two strong days thus far and look forward to competing in the leader group with my good friend Yuvraj for the second time this season.”
