Chennai, March 26 (NationPress) The creative team behind the much-anticipated Malayalam action thriller, 'Pallichattambi', directed by Dijo Jose Antony and starring Tovino Thomas, has unveiled that Midhun Venugopal will portray the character Davi. This announcement has brought immense joy to fans and cinema enthusiasts alike.

On their official Instagram account, the filmmakers shared the first look poster of Midhun, captioning it: "Midhun Venugopal as Davi. Set to release worldwide on April 10, 2026. Excitement has been building around the film, especially after the teaser was launched recently. The teaser suggests that the narrative unfolds shortly after the country's independence, focusing on a protagonist who challenges oppression during a time rife with supernatural beliefs.

It's worth noting that the director had recently confirmed the completion of filming.

On his Instagram, he shared images from various shooting locations, stating: "From the initial shot in Thodupuzha to the final patch shoot across states, the journey of #Pallichattambi reaches its conclusion today. Additionally, Kayadu Lohar, who gained fame from her remarkable role in the Tamil hit 'Dragon', stars alongside Tovino in this film.

The film is slated to be released globally on April 10 this year.

Produced by World Wide Films and C Qube Bros Entertainments, 'Pallichattambi' aims to showcase Tovino Thomas in an unprecedented avatar. According to insiders, the film's storyline is set in the 1950s–60s era.

The production team includes Noufal and Brijeesh under the World Wide Films banner, alongside Chanukya Chaithanya Charan under C Qube Bros Entertainments. The film will be released in five languages, including Malayalam.

Besides Tovino and Kayadu, the cast features prominent actors such as Vijayaraghavan, Sudheer Karamana, Baburaj, Vinod Kedamangalam, Prashanth Alexander, and many others.

On the technical side, the screenplay is crafted by S Suresh Babu, with Tijo Tomy handling cinematography, and music composed by Jakes Bejoy, a notable talent in the Malayalam music scene. Editing is managed by Sreejith Sarang, while Dileep Nath oversees production design.

Associate producers include Meghasyam and Thanzeer, with costumes designed by Manjusha Radhakrishnan.
