New Delhi, March 24 (NationPress) On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called upon state administrations to create specialized monitoring systems for migrant workers and other vulnerable communities, warning that the ongoing conflict in West Asia could bring significant challenges to the nation in the forthcoming months.

While addressing the Rajya Sabha regarding the evolving dynamics in West Asia, the Prime Minister stated, "This crisis will serve as a substantial test for our nation in the near future. To tackle this situation effectively, collaboration among all states is imperative. Hence, through this forum, I appeal to all state governments for their cooperation."

He emphasized the disproportionate toll such crises take on marginalized groups, stating, "In times of turmoil, the poor, workers, and migrant populations suffer the most. We must ensure that the benefits of the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana reach these individuals promptly. It would be beneficial for state authorities to establish dedicated systems to monitor these circumstances."

The Prime Minister raised alarms about black marketing and hoarding, urging states to remain vigilant and quickly address any reports of these issues.

Calling for a united front, he stressed the importance of collective action in the spirit of "Team India" to maintain economic stability and navigate global uncertainties.

"I implore all state governments to recognize that regardless of the magnitude of the crisis, it is our joint responsibility to uphold India's rapid progress. We must continue to implement necessary measures and reforms swiftly. This moment presents a significant opportunity for state governments, as it also tests the resolve of Team India," he remarked.

Reflecting on the nation's response during the Covid pandemic, PM Modi noted that the Central and state governments had showcased an "exemplary model of crisis management."

"Despite differing political affiliations, we ensured testing, vaccination, and the distribution of essential goods through the collaborative efforts of Team India. We must sustain that same spirit. Together, with the cooperation of both state and central governments, our country will effectively confront this serious global crisis," he added.

Highlighting the unique and evolving nature of the current crisis, the Prime Minister remarked, "This situation is unlike previous ones, and the solutions are also being tailored accordingly. We must approach every challenge with patience, restraint, and a calm demeanor. As we observe, the circumstances surrounding this conflict are continuously changing."

He also encouraged citizens to stay "prepared for potential challenges" ahead, cautioning that the fallout from the conflict may be long-lasting.

"The adverse effects of this war could linger for an extended period. However, I assure the citizens that the government is on high alert, formulating strategies, and making decisions with utmost seriousness. The welfare of the populace is our top priority. This is our identity; this is our strength," he concluded.
