Did PM Modi Deliver When Congress Doubted? Strike by Strike!

New Delhi, July 30 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi provided a decisive and comprehensive rebuttal in Parliament, methodically addressing each inquiry and allegation posed by the Congress and other opposition factions concerning Operation Sindoor and the Pahalgam terror incident.

During a speech that encompassed numerous pressing issues of national security in Lok Sabha, PM Modi asserted that Bharat’s response to terrorism was intentional, effective, and strategically sound, while simultaneously revealing the contradictions of the Opposition and what he labeled as “propaganda fueled by Pakistan.”

‘No nation hindered Bharat’

In light of assertions that India faced international isolation or pressure, PM Modi emphatically stated:

“Not a single nation in the world hindered Bharat from exercising its right to self-defense. Out of the 193 UN member nations, merely three made statements supporting Pakistan.”

He confirmed that India garnered worldwide support, from QUAD to BRICS, France to Germany, and Russia to the U.S., thereby dispelling the narrative that the country was under diplomatic pressure during the operation.

‘Pointed inquiries, straightforward responses’

Opposition members questioned whether any military actions had been undertaken, and subsequently, why the operation was “halted.” PM Modi underscored the absurdity and inconsistency in this line of questioning:

“Initially, they didn’t even acknowledge that any action was taken. Now they inquire, ‘Why did you halt it?’ What a contradiction!”

The Prime Minister delineated the explicit aim of Operation Sindoor - to dismantle the epicenters of terror responsible for the Pahalgam attack, stating:

“We had a clear goal: to strike the epicenters of terror - the locations where the Pahalgam attack was orchestrated, where training, logistics, recruitment, and funding were coordinated.”

On May 7, the Indian military held a press briefing, declaring the mission successful and non-escalatory.

“We made it clear that our mission was accomplished. We notified Pakistan’s DGMO within minutes that our goals had been met.”

Targeting the Congress party, PM Modi accused them of ridiculing India’s response just days after the April 22 Pahalgam attack:

“Just three or four days post the terrorist attack, Congress leaders were mocking: ‘Where is the 56-inch chest?’ ‘Where has Modi disappeared?’ They seemed to relish it, as if they had scored a political advantage.”

He cautioned that such “cheap political attacks” only served to demoralize the armed forces, adding that:

“Some Congress leaders neither have faith in Bharat’s capabilities nor in its armed forces.”

PM Modi narrated how Pakistan was taken aback by Bharat’s response on the night of May 9 and morning of May 10, revealing that:

“Our missiles struck every corner of Pakistan with such intensity that they never anticipated… Pakistan called and implored our DGMO: ‘Please cease, we’ve had enough.’”

He also revealed that the U.S. Vice President attempted to reach him during the peak of the escalation, warning of an impending Pakistani attack. PM Modi responded with resolve:

“If Pakistan attacks, we will retaliate with an even bigger strike. We will counter bullets with shells.”

Addressing concerns about accountability for the Pahalgam attackers, PM Modi pointed to Operation Mahadev, in which the offenders were neutralized.

“Yesterday, our security forces brought the attackers of Pahalgam to justice. Yet someone asked: ‘Why was it executed yesterday?’ What’s happening with these individuals?”

He underscored how India ensured the safe return of a BSF soldier captured during the conflict - just as it had during the Balakot incident when Wing Commander Abhinandan returned with honor.

Throughout his address, PM Modi depicted the Congress as mirroring Pakistan’s rhetoric, stating:

“Compare statements from Pakistan with those from some leaders here - they align, comma for comma, full stop for full stop.”

He accused Congress of undermining military actions, questioning surgical strikes and airstrikes, demanding “evidence,” and even labeling Operation Sindoor as a “drama.”

“Labeling it a drama - how can that be your perspective? This is nothing short of pouring acid on the barbaric killing of 26 individuals by terrorists.”

PM Modi also revisited historical decisions, calling the Indus Water Treaty signed by Nehru a "serious betrayal": “The Indus Water Treaty was a direct and serious betrayal of Bharat’s identity and self-respect. But now, Bharat has rectified that past error.”

Self-reliance in defense: Sindoor spirit

PM Modi credited ‘Make in India’ in the defense sector for the success of Operation Sindoor.

“On 9th May, Pakistan attempted a massive attack with around 1,000 missiles and drones. But Bharat intercepted and destroyed them all. Our air defense system shattered them like twigs.”

He emphasized: “Operation Sindoor is still ongoing. And if Pakistan dares again, it will face a devastating response.”
