A statement from AICWA President Suresh Shyamlal Gupta stated: “The shocking assault on actor Saif Ali Khan after an alleged robbery attempt at his home has created a climate of fear in the film industry. This incident comes on the heels of the tragic murder of Baba Siddiqui, heightening concerns regarding targeted attacks on prominent figures in Mumbai.

The statement emphasized that AICWA “strongly” demands a complete investigation into this incident.

“It is essential to determine whether this was simply a robbery that went awry or a calculated act meant to instill fear within Bollywood, potentially laying the groundwork for broader extortion efforts. The possibility of such malicious intentions must be thoroughly investigated,” it noted.

“Mumbai, seen as the cultural and entertainment capital of the nation, is experiencing alarming acts of violence in VVIP areas, raising significant concerns about law enforcement. “We demand that those responsible for the attack on Saif Ali Khan be apprehended and that a top-level investigation ascertain whether this was an isolated occurrence or part of a broader, orchestrated scheme to incite chaos and fear within the film sector.”

The statement further indicated that the government must not only capture the offenders but also establish stringent security protocols to protect Bollywood stars and their families from such dangers.

“It is the responsibility of the administration to safeguard individuals who significantly contribute to the nation’s reputation and prosperity.”
