Eight Palestinians Lose Their Lives in New Israeli Airstrikes in Gaza

Ramallah, Jan 13 (NationPress) At least eight Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, as reported by local civil defense and medical sources.
Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for the Civil Defense in Gaza, stated that three individuals lost their lives in an Israeli drone strike aimed at a gathering of Palestinians in the al-Shati refugee camp located west of Gaza City, according to Xinhua news agency.
In another incident, two Palestinians were killed in an airstrike in the Al-Karama neighborhood northwest of Gaza City, and two additional fatalities occurred due to an Israeli strike in the Al-Shuja'iya neighborhood to the east of Gaza City.
Furthermore, medical sources indicated that a young man was killed in Jabalia town in northern Gaza, where eyewitnesses reported injuries resulting from Israeli artillery fire targeting the area.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry on Sunday accused Israel of extending its military operations through a strategy described as a “time-buying game” aimed at facilitating genocide, displacement, and annexation, urging the international community to take immediate measures to halt the violence.
Amidst the ongoing conflict, preparations are in motion for an international conference aimed at garnering support for Gaza's residents. Mahmoud Ataya, undersecretary of the Palestinian Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, revealed plans for the reconstruction of Gaza, highlighting collaboration with international partners including the United Nations, the European Union, and the World Bank.
The Palestinian government has placed a high priority on urgent humanitarian assistance and long-term reconstruction, formulating a recovery plan for the next three years along with a ten-year development strategy expected to be finalized by March, as stated by Ataya.
Earlier, three individuals were reported killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a group near the Shebaa Farms in southern Lebanon, according to a Lebanese military source.
The unnamed source informed Xinhua on Sunday that an Israeli drone launched an air-to-ground missile at the Bastra area south of Shebaa town, leading to the casualties.
The Israel Defense Forces announced in a statement on Saturday that their air force had identified and attacked three “suspects” near the Israeli-annexed Shebaa Farms area.
