Hyderabad, Dec 14 (NationPress) Tollywood actor Allu Arjun stated after his release from jail on Saturday that he is a law-abiding citizen who respects legal statutes, and he promised to extend his support to the family of the deceased.

Speaking to the media after arriving at his home in Jubilee Hills, he expressed his willingness to collaborate with law enforcement and fulfill necessary obligations.

He expressed gratitude to his fans nationwide for their unwavering love and support.

“I want to assure my fans that I am doing well. There’s no need for concern. Thank you very much,” the actor mentioned.

He reiterated his heartfelt condolences to the family of the woman who tragically lost her life in the stampede at a theatre in Hyderabad during the premier of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’.

“It was a very unfortunate incident. They attended the film screening, and an accident occurred. It was completely unintentional. I deeply regret what transpired. It was beyond my personal control,” stated Allu Arjun, who faced charges for culpable homicide not amounting to murder.

The actor mentioned that he has been frequenting theatres for the past 20 years, but the events of that day were particularly tragic.

He noted that he had visited that specific location, Sandhya Theatre, more than 30 times.

“I am committed to supporting the family in any way I can. Although we can never replace the loss of their loved one, I am here to assist them as much as possible,” said the actor, who has already committed Rs 25 lakh to the family of the deceased.

This pan-Indian star communicated in English, Hindi, and Telugu to convey his gratitude to his fans, acknowledging that he owes his position to their love and support.

He declined to respond when asked if he believed the Telangana government was involved in his arrest.

“When the law is handling the situation, I should not interfere in the ongoing case,” he stated, avoiding any discussion regarding the legal matters involved.

The National Award-winning actor recognized that this is an incredibly challenging time for the family.

Allu Arjun was released from Chanchalguda Central Jail early Saturday morning after spending the night behind bars.

He was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court on Friday evening, just an hour after a lower court placed him in judicial custody for 14 days; however, he had to spend the night in jail due to delays in the prison receiving the bail orders.

Following his release, the actor headed directly to the office of Geetha Arts, his family's production company, where he spent an hour consulting with his lawyers.

Later, he returned home, where he was warmly welcomed by his family members. The actor was seen embracing his wife, children, and other relatives.

A significant number of his fans gathered outside his residence to greet him.

A tragic incident occurred where a woman died, and her son sustained critical injuries during the stampede at Sandhya Theatre during the premier show attended by Allu Arjun on December 4.
