Hyderabad, Sep 28 (NationPress) In a strategic move for the forthcoming by-election in the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency, the opposition BRS is distributing 'Congress Debt Cards' to remind the electorate of what they term the unfulfilled promises made by the ruling party.
Bharat Rashtra Samithi's (BRS) working president, K. T. Rama Rao, went door-to-door on Sunday to hand out these 'Congress Debt Cards' as a direct response to the 'Congress Guarantee Cards' given out by Congress leaders during the 2023 Assembly elections.
On his extensive tour of Shaikpet and Samatha Colony within the Jubilee Hills constituency, KTR, accompanied by MLC Dasoju Sravan and BRS minority leaders, engaged with the public while distributing the 'Debt Cards'.
KTR emphasized that the Congress government operates under the false assumption that citizens will forget its broken promises. He stated that the BRS initiative aims to keep the public informed about the unfulfilled commitments and betrayals by the party.
In his discussions, KTR pointed out how the Congress government has “defrauded” the citizens and urged voters to respond effectively in the Jubilee Hills by-election, viewing it as a chance for constituents to hold Congress accountable for its misleading actions.
BRS representatives have reported that locals voiced their concerns to KTR, highlighting issues like inadequate sanitation, garbage accumulation, sewage stagnation, power outages that necessitate purchasing inverters, and overall neglect since Congress assumed power.
KTR assured the residents that he would elevate these issues with the government to seek solutions. Residents expressed unwavering trust in KCR's leadership and the BRS, offering their blessings to KTR and affirming that the party will triumph in both the Jubilee Hills by-election and the upcoming elections.
Later, in a media interaction, KTR criticized the Congress party, stating that they painted a rosy picture to gain votes, yet after 700 days, they have failed to fulfill promises that were supposed to be delivered within 100 days.
He highlighted that every woman has missed out on Rs 55,000 under the Rs 2,500 monthly scheme for daughters, and every elderly individual is owed Rs 44,000 under the Rs 4,000 pension initiative. “They haven’t provided scooters to students, yet they are plundering the state,” he remarked. The 'Congress Debt Card' initiative serves as a reminder of these betrayals.
KTR encouraged voters to support and elect BRS candidate Sunitha, the widow of Maganti Gopinath, whose passing necessitated the by-election.
In his critiques of the Congress administration, KTR referenced Mahabubnagar MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy, who expressed concerns about the lack of development funding, and Ellareddy MLA Madan Mohan, who sought Rs 100 crore from the World Bank for his constituency. “These instances alone illustrate the Congress governance failures,” he asserted.
He also mocked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s claims about developing a “Future City,” saying, “While the present city is grappling with floods and mosquito infestations, the CM is engaged in real estate ventures under the guise of a Future City.”
