Delhi's Congress and BJP Endorse LG's Investigation into AAP's Data Collection Practices

New Delhi, Dec 28 (NationPress) The Congress and BJP factions in Delhi expressed their approval on Saturday for the investigation mandated by Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena concerning the unauthorized collection of women's data by AAP volunteers.

The information was gathered under the pretense of registering beneficiaries for the Chief Minister Mahila Samman Yojana.

In response to the LG's directive, Devender Yadav, President of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee, stated that following the Aam Aadmi Party Government’s departments exposing Kejriwal’s unfulfilled promise of providing Rs 2,100 to women and free healthcare for the elderly, he is resorting to unethical tactics such as misusing Punjab Police to conduct surveillance on Congress candidates.

Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva reiterated the party's approval of the Lieutenant Governor's order to investigate allegations of data collection from women disguised as part of the Mahila Samman Yojana and the risk of this information being handed over to private firms.

“Should any cybercrime occur against women in Delhi, the full accountability would rest with Kejriwal for amassing their private information under the Mahila Samman Yojana and transmitting it to private entities,” he stated, adding that the BJP is prepared to assist with the inquiry if required.

Sachdeva accused Kejriwal of deceiving the people of Delhi for the past decade, failing to deliver on any of his promises, and questioned whether a cabinet proposal to allocate Rs 2,100 monthly under the Chief Minister Mahila Samman Yojana was ever approved.

He further charged Kejriwal with exploiting women's issues solely for electoral advantages and urged him to observe how BJP-led states implement programs for women quietly and effectively.

Sachdeva pointed out successful initiatives like the Mahatari Shakti Rin Yojana in Chhattisgarh, Ladli Yojana in Madhya Pradesh, Lado in Haryana, and Ladli Bahna Yojana in Maharashtra.

In another development, Sachdeva referenced a video circulating on social media featuring Kejriwal stating that he has now grasped politics sufficiently to recognize that the promise of cleaning the Yamuna would not garner votes.

The President of the Delhi BJP commented that Kejriwal has neglected the Yamuna cleaning initiative because it did not serve his political interests.

Sachdeva insisted that Kejriwal’s acknowledgment of neglect in cleaning the Yamuna is a slap in the face to the sentiments of millions of Chhath devotees.
