Highlighting the accomplishments of many women leaders at both state and national levels, she recalled several notable figures from diverse sectors.
Karandlaje expressed her belief that this reservation will create pathways for countless women, reiterating the Prime Minister’s vision of involving all 140 crore citizens to realize a developed India by 2047.
She stated that the Nari Shakti Vandan Act transcends mere political positions; it embodies a collective responsibility towards nation-building.
Bharatiya Janata Party State President and Member of Legislative Assembly B.Y. Vijayendra commented that for India to achieve development by 2047, social justice must be upheld for women, who represent over half of the population.
He stated that PM Modi is advancing towards ensuring political representation for women, fulfilling what has been a long-standing aspiration, with anticipation surrounding the implementation of the 33 percent reservation in the Lok Sabha and State Assemblies.
Vijayendra pointed out that in rural communities, the perception of the girl child as a burden has shifted, thanks to Yediyurappa’s initiatives that advocate for her as a blessing.
He noted that many students previously deprived of educational facilities benefited from the bicycle distribution scheme, which was introduced during Yediyurappa’s administration, enhancing their access to education and dignity.
Support for dairy farming has also empowered rural women to lead independent lives, he added.
He remarked that listening to PM Modi’s address from Delhi underscores the trust he places in women and his expectation for their active engagement in nation-building.
Vijayendra also commended the accomplishments of President Droupadi Murmu and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
